DMW first lady, Liya was, on Saturday morning, paraded alongside 236 other clubgoers arrested by the Lagos State Police in different areas of the state for violating COVID-19 protocols.
The paraded 237 clubgoers, according to the police, were arrested on Friday night, 8th and Saturday, 9th in the mainland and island area, namely Surulere and Victoria Island parts of Lagos State.
According to the Lagos State commissioner of police, Hakeem Odumosu, while parading the offenders, he stressed that the Lagos State command is saddled with enforcing COVID-19 protocols and that the command will make sure citizens of the state comply with COVID-19 orders in order to curb the spread of the virus, even as the country is contemplating whether or not to initiate a second lockdown.
Liya, DMW’s signee and first lady was among those arrested by the police during the night operation in Lagos.
Davido, owner of DMW record label announced the signing of Liya in October 2020 amid long term speculations that the label is set to sign its first female of the group.
It is not clear whether or not Liya, particularly has been released as at press time but a visit to her Twitter handle shows the 30BG queen’s profile was last active 4 hours ago (over 12 hours after she was paraded alongside 235 others).
