Michael Ajereh or Don Jazzy as he is fondly called was born in Umuahia, on the 26th of November, 1982, even though he is from Isoko, in Delta State, and not Igbo as many claims. Don Jazzy was exposed to musical instruments at the tender age of 4 and by 12, had started playing the drums, and bass guitars.
D’Banj was Don Jazzy’s first artist on the now-defunct Mo Hits Records which was founded in 2004. He produced “The Koko Master’s” “No Long Thing” album around 2015 produced by other members of the Mo Hits crew at the time including Wande Coal, Da Prince, Dr. Sid, and also artists not signed to the label such as Naeto C, Ikechukwu, Sauce Kid, Darey, etc. Sadly, the record died in 2014, leaving Don Jazzy to create another – Mavin Records. With Mavins, Jazzy signed Tiwa Savage, Korede Bello, Reekado Banks, and Di’ja and also produced several albums for the artists.
